Photoshop: Light Effect

A version of the photographic phenomena that appears in blurred backgrounds. Use your imagination of its possible uses.

Step 1

Choose a 13px hard brush and go to Window - Brushes and input the following settings:
  • SCATTERING
  • Scatter: 1000%. Set to "Both Axes".
  • Count: 1
  • Count Jitter: 0%
  • OTHER DYNAMICS
  • Opacity Jitter: 100%
  • Flow Jitter: 100%

Step 2

You can experiment with different brush sizes to get various results. The example below uses additional sharpening.
